In addition to the close relationship between the members, BTS also touched and warmed fans’ hearts with the affection between the boys and their parents. They have always been a solid support for the global boygroup, a driving force for BTS’ determination to achieve the current success. In particular, there were two moments where V and RM shared how their parents influenced their morale and the support their family had for the BTS member.

From being trainees to becoming the global superstars they are today, BTS has gone through many difficulties and challenges. When they are tired, fans and family become the strongest spiritual support for BTS to continue on the path of their päṩṩion for music. When it comes to family, BTS always shows their love and gratitude for what their parents have done for the BTS members.

During a recent appearance as a guest of BTS on tvN’s You Quiz On The Block, V talked about how his father helped him during his trainee days. The training period with many hardships and the uncertain future path until he could debut made V want to give up and called his father. He said: “Being a trainee was so hard that I called him crying. When I told him I wanted to quit, he told me, ‘If it’s too hard, you can quit. There are lots of other jobs. Let’s look for one together.’ I had nothing to say to that. I felt embarrassed that I said that in the first place. As time passed, those words touched me“.

Not only was V’s father not angry or forced, but told V that he can think and if he really wants to, he can give up and they will find a way together. It was upon hearing these words of his father that V felt ashamed of himself and persisted in continuing.

After V shared this, RM shared that one of their motivational slogans came from V’s father! It was revealed by V to be: “geumeusirakko“, which means “no big deal.”

Whenever the members have a difficult time, they say to themselves, “No big deal, we can overcome it again“. MC Yoo Jae Suk then put on a bit of humor and said that viewers might think they should start thinking like that, but maybe it won’t work for them the same way BTS does!

Also in the program, when asked about whether their family has changed or remained the same after they achieved success. Both V and RM smiled widely and said that their parents seem to have become their fans. RM shared that his family constantly reads and watches the news to update BTS’s activities. RM also laughed, sharing that his family often sends him messages like, “When did you go here?”

RM also shared that his family often tells him things like, “Oh, our star is here! Aigo~”

When V was asked if his parents did the same thing, he shared that they did. V also laughed and shared that when visiting his parents, his father often brings a table with utensils and says, “My friend’s daughter is your fan, so… Can you sign your autograph for her?”

Although this private autograph might not seem very valid, as a famous son of the family, there was no way V could refuse his father. And he also feels his father is cute and proud when he’s grown up well.

RM and V also showed great respect for their family, and MCs Yoo Jae Suk and Jo Se Ho laughed and shared that if BTS were their children, they would brag a lot!

Now that BTS has become famous and become successful boys with resounding careers, their parents must have been very proud of their family. BTS’s parents are now fans who silently follow and support bright stars in the endless career sky.
