The Korea Institute of Corporate Reputation has released the brand reputation rankings for K-Pop girl groups in May 2021.
The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, media coverage, interaction, and community indexes of various girl groups, using big data collected from April 9 to May 9. This time, they collected a total brand reputation index of of 30,596,886. Compared to the figure in April (38,956,768), it decreased by 21.46%.
With their massive hit ‘Rollin’ still reigning on the domestic music charts, Brave Girls stays at the top of the list and has a brand reputation index of 3,711,562 for May. High-ranking phrases in the group’s keyword analysis included “Rollin'”, “ad”, and “gift to fans”, while their highest-ranking related terms included “release”, “advertise”, and “model”. Brave Girls’ positivity-negativity analysis revealed a score of 80.41% positive reactions.
Despite having no group activities this month, BLACKPINK maintained their spot at the 2nd place with a brand reputation index of 3,521,993. Compared to April, it fell by 23.15%.
Meanwhile, Oh My Girl rose to the #3 place with a total brand reputation index of 1,920,338. Compared to last month, the figure fell by 7.65%.
TWICE came in at a close fourth with a brand reputation index of 1,882,766, and STAYC rounded out the top five for May with a total score of 1,658,272.
