With that, “Butter” beat Canadian singer-songwriter, Justin Bieber, and English singer-songwriter, Ed Sheeran’s collaboration song, “I Don’t Care,” by 64,946 streams.
Their achievements doesn’t stop there. Spotify also confirmed another record broken by the seven-member group. As of April 27, 2021, BTS’s overall music has been streamed more than 16.3 billion times on Spotify, making them the most streamed act (group) on the platform.
According to Spotify, BTS’s singles, “Dynamite” and “Boy With Luv” featuring Halsey are their most streamed songs on Spotify, with more than 829.7 million and 642.6 million streams, respectively.
Coldplay, a British band, previously held the record with more than 16.1 billion streams as of April 27, 2021, now taking second place behind BTS, followed by Imagine Dragons as the third most streamed act with more than 15.7 billion streams. But rapper Drake holds the overall title with more than 37.9 streams on Spotify.
