Recently, the social network Twitter became explosive after V’s Chinese fan CHINA BAIDU VBAR set up a fundraising campaign for Taehyung’s early birthday. This fundraising purpose of ARMYs is to build a school in the name of idols. By breaking their own record and creating a new one for the fastest fundraising among K-pop fans in China, they raised: 3.08 million CNY ($478.818; KRW 532 million) in just one year. 1 minute and 5.42 million CNY ($842,500; 944 million KRW) for an hour.
Thanks to donations from ARMYs, “Taehyung Hope Primary School” is being built through the famous CYDF (Chinese Youth Development) Hope Project.
The China Youth Development Project is a non-profit public organization that ensures that children in rural communities in China have the opportunity to attend school. Many Korean companies in China, such as Samsung, LG, Asiana airlines, and Doosan Infracore,… have participated in projects to support elementary school students through this fund.

As stated by Fan Club: “We are record-creators, instead of record-breakers. We all love Tae so much and hope him the best. This year, we will do our best to bring even better birthday project”
This is also not the first time that V’s fans in China have taken such meaningful actions. It is known that before that, V’s fans built an art class called Vante Art School (named after V in his photography works) at Anlu Primary School in Hubei, China. Along with that, Taehyung’s fan group in China has repeatedly donated to build as well as a 100 meter road “Kim Taehyung Road” and a 10-meter bridge, “Kim Taehyung Bridge” for students. Primary School in Zhaoxi Village, China.
Like idols like fans, with a heart of Gold always trying to make a change in the world even a little bit for a better future. As a British magazine mentioned, BTS V has the biggest and most loyal fan base worldwide and they are known for their good deeds and donations following in their Idol’s footsteps.
