BTS’s newest friend is a Latin äṃệŕïċän singer, dancer and actor. She has owned many famous films and prestigious awards during her career such as the Golden Globe Award and became the first Latina actress to earn more than 1 million USD for a film. From 1999 to 2004, Jennifer Lopez also released eight studio albums along with four world tours.
In response to BTS’s following, Lopez followed not one but two BTS accounts.
Moreover, Jennifer Lopez with her 165M- follower Instagram account also follows the Kpop megastar’s Instagram account. The veteran American artist is following 1309 other celebrities of which BTS is the rare Korean artist she follows.
ARMYs were sure that there must be some interaction between the two because Jennifer Lopez and BTS had never had any interaction before. It is very likely that the tracking between superstars will create a musical masterpiece that is about to be released. Many wonder if this means BTS is finally working on a Spanish release.
BTS has topped the charts with English releases of “Dynamite,” “Butter” for 7 consecutive weeks at #1 on Billboard Hot 100 and now is the golden age of “Permission to Dance”. For now, BTS seems to be interested in releasing more songs in other languages. Leader RM recently told Entertainment Weekly, “We’re open to anything… Maybe when it’s time, I think we’ll be able to release another song in English or ḳöŕệän or Spanish — or any language.”
During BTS’s 2021 Muster Sowoozoo concert for FESTA’s 8th anniversary event, the group performed the OT7 version of J-Hope and Becky G’s “Chicken Noodle Soup” remix. Fans praised the members singing song in Spanish. Perhaps this is just a pre-run practice of BTS to prepare for a more special performance in the future.
Hispanic ARMYs are also excited about their latest release, “Permission to Dance”, due to the aesthetic of the music video. In addition, a mural in the music video was even done by a Mexican artist Abel Macías. Maybe this was hinted for their next release.
We hope that ARMY’s theory is correct and that BTS will release a song in Spanish. Since the release of the Latin pop-inspired track “Airplane Pt. 2,” we are hoping for more!
